Munimuni and Seelenwald is an electronic live-band based in Berlin and Vienna.
Formed by multi-instrumentalists and passionate musicians John Dawa and Stefan Seelenwald, they create a tension between emotional vulnerability and mechanical roughness. Artisticly the two met when Seelenwald started remixing John's Band DAWA in 2015. Coming from a live-band background, the duo found a chemistry in using dark, deformed electronic vintage-synthesizer's sounds together with acoustic instruments and started writing on a regular basis in May 2016. Both working on solo-projects as well there was no thought of publishing their common musical output at first. Fortunately Ibiza based Claudio Ricci discovered their meanwhile created Oeuvre of which the first EP is published on the label „Stripped Down Records“ with Remixes from no other than Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Tiefschwarz, Sasse and Claudio Ricci. Currently the duo is finishing last preparations of their live-show and eager to perform live on stage! |
